We vs ME

Pallav : if you read this then let be known i cant comment on ur blog :(. tried in IE, Firefox and Chrome. Comment window nahi khulti :(. Please loook into it man.

When you see the specs for the qualities they expect in the future partner they write all the big heavy words:

  • Trust
  • Caring
  • Friendly
  • Mature
  • Blah blah

When you go meet this persons in person, the questions they ask :

  • Would ya settle in Pune or Mumbai ?
  • Would you go back to your hometown?
  • Would your family stay with you?
  • Do you have a car?
  • Do you have your own flat ?
Are relationships aise banti he kya ki tumhare paas kitna paisa he ya kitne lakh ka bangla hai ?You sigh for a deep breath and just walk away. Walk away with pissed off thoughts and reeled mind. This age there is just no space for compatibility. Individuality and independence have taken precedence over everything. Alright. I am individualistic too and even more independent than anyone can make out me to be. But when it comes to relationships, I know where i have to let go off my strong (i suppose) individualism and independence and greet the thing they called "WE".

I mean to say I know when I have to put on my WE ARE TOGETHER stuff and when to put on my individualism. I just wish people who dont want to believe in theory of WE should not get in any kind of relationship. Just no. Stay individual. Stay happy.

For me i can switch between two modes. For now its being back to enjoying my individualism. The thing is I never flaunt it. I never say it to anybody about it. I have felt quite good about myself being on my own now for close to 3 years now.

i have a big post written on how i have enjoyed being on my own. But thats later day. Only if men and women know how to compartmentalize the "WE" and "ME" times better, the relationships wont end at the alarming rate at which currently they are going south.

Some good points here but yes you are right marriage or relationships only work when we erase the "you" and the "me" and replace it with "WE".
Give n take , compromise and respect and no egos all these factors have to be prominent for the equation to have a satisfactory result.

Thanks for popping by my blog I am eagerly awaiting your feed back on my stories (72 hours and sequal Sandys story) after all lets See what a true romantic has to say!! Did I get the emotions right??:)

Kuch relationships ban jaati hei coz of the thing called Love. Aur kuch relationships jo banti nahi hei usko aise "cheezon" se banaane ki koshish karte hei..

Nothing can replace love..nothing at all.

Completely agree with the last line.

I think the factor WE will face it together does not hold true anymore...now people have a more practical approach towards relationships where money, security and attitude matters more than anything else...

Pehle it was diff.. jiskey saath shaadi ho gayi... uskey saath rehney ka... now things are changing... ppl are more into I and less into WE.

Nice post.

hmmmm.. i agree! :)
me = 13+5 = 1+3+5 = 9
we = 23+5 = 2+3+10 = 10

so 'we' has more value.. :D
dont know why my mind started calculating.. :P

Harshita, thanks for your views. 2 Is cannot make WE. And a relationship is abt doing things together.

What you said abt money, security and attitude is very correct. But that shudnt hinder the strength and evolution of relationship :)

yeah Pallav, all factors are equally important, just that one of the factor shouldnt outdo the other.

yeah sneha, ppl r confused more on what they want than what the actual stakeholders of the relationship want :)
