Heart Sings to the Moon, a Teddy and Matt story -- I

Life for Matt was never been the same again after he met the girl who took his breath away. He was floored by the innocense and beauty of Teddy whom he had met just a week back but it seemed that they had met years back or perhaps ages back. On the other hand Teddy was glad that she had got a mate in Matt who was very protective about her being non-possesive, giving her own space and not intruding it in the boundaries. Besides Matt blew her away with his sense of humor, it was hardly a dull moment when both were together, and when they would go on a long drive on Matt s antique bike the world would stop for both.

They hardly bothered to care about the world and ppl outside their newly formed tender lovely relationship….. They both complimented each other well. Though Matt was 3 years older to teddy and came from a typical middle class family of NYC. He was from the other side of the Hudson Bay i.e the Jersey City. And Teddy was from the outskirts of the NY from Armonk – the headquarters of IBM. The upbringing of Matt and Teddy was totally contrasting to each other. Matt had a great family always gelling well with each other much to contrast to the typical US families…

Teddy had working parents , but she never felt that her parents were working when she needed them in her tough times. Matt and Teddy were seeing each other since 1 month now and being working in the same profession got them closer and they had chance to know each other well beyond their jobs. Matt had a bit relaxed work schedule whereas teddy used to work hard a bit due to her sincere and yearning for perfection in daily tasks. Matt had asked Teddy to be his life mate 5 weeks back and only after project release was done with, Teddy could think and sleep over Matt s proposal and she nodded after 4 weeks of hard thinking and mulling.

The intermediate time was restless and tense, to say the least for Matt but deep inside he knew that he would get a nod from Teddy despite she taking a bit longer time to say yes. And once she said yes the lives changed. Matt had planned the weekends together driving to Philadelphia in his newly acquired FORD car. Matt was fan of Pink Floyd and Bryan Adams. he would be hooked to the great artists on his ipod and would humm the songs whenever he could. Teddy s images were wallpapers on his lappy, his mobile, his workplace desktop and of course his entire internal system. There was hardly a moment when he could not think about Teddy or there never was a short moment when he couldnt have imagined what she might be thinking about him. Matt had his appearence changed, it was all about how to look good to floor Teddy.

Though he wasnt a typically well built hunk, but he was on above average looks and had good body. He kept his hair short and liked to dress in jeans and t-shirts / shirts and snickers. His work place allowed him to wear casuals 4 days a week and the day he had to put on formals, used to be tough for him. He was petty uncomfortable in them. Matt was very protective about Teddy and any one gazing her down when together woudnt go well with him.

Though on the up, teddy asked him not to care about it, but deep within she liked the way Matt used to protect her and do all those good things to her — make her cross road with her hand in his hand and the other on her shoulder, cover her in the lift among the strangers, sit to the right in the corner seat of the multiplex……This made Teddy feel comfortable and at par with Matt very early in the relationship. She got in the comfort zone very quickly with Matt. She would always pass on her hands to Matt to hold her when in public or in alone whenever they met.

On his bike Teddy in general used to put her hands on his hips and at times when she felt more amorous to Matt would hold him tight from the back and Matt used to feel right on the moon. Matt had a habit of sucking in beers almost every day which did not go well with Teddy but however she resisted from telling this in a commanding way.

Matt knew that Teddy doesnt like him to see gulp beers, but he was making a hard effort to cut it down and then abolish it totally. Teddy used to say a few words with extra stress and Matt used to catch it hard and repeat them in his own way . On the onset that would irritate Teddy but then she used to feel good about it too. Teddy used to be dressed in jeans and tops with formals at times. Matt urged her to wear skirts at times and even spent time surfing the mall for a good skirt to gift her. Teddy thought she was too slim to wear those and being fashion conscious she took care that anything she wore, she was able to carry well and look well. The cell phone bills had shot up for both Matt and Teddy when they got going together, hardly a day used to go by when they wouldnt have called each other on an hour to check whats up with each other and sms every half an hour or so.

Tough and hectic work schedules for Teddy meant that she couldnt reply or talk to Matt for long or chat with him on web. She made up for the lost time in the night talks when they used to talk long on cell if not together and generally their naughty crispy baby talks would go on till wee hours of morning. They talked just nothing and yet everything on their cell phone.

The cell phones were exchanged quite frequently and the ringtones were the gifts they gave to each other on the 1st weekly anniversary they got together. When they were together, they would walk by the Hudson river and stroll on the Brooklyn alongside the Ground Zero with hands in hands and sipping coffees. The business of the coffee shops used to grow by leaps and bounds whenever Matt and Teddy decided to stroll.

Teddy was happy to see that the beers were slowly being replaced by coffees. The morning after daily calls or occasional weekly strolls used to be hard for Matt as he used to follow by a session on his lappy after talks with his sweetie. He had to get up to catch the train to ManHattan to his work place to 750 Avenue, whereas Teddy had to wake up a bit late as she had a bit late timings in the office. But before they could go to their respective work places, they used to catch each other up on cell and blow infinite kisses on cell so much so that one had to cut the call unwillingly to enable them go to office practically fit and not being lost in thoughts of each other which were never ending and full of tremendous love for each other.
